Physiotherapy is about using physical modes of treatment; mainly therapeutic exercise, and load management (activity modification) alongside manual therapies. Sometimes acupuncture, taping and shockwave treatment (electrotherapy) can be helpful adjuncts physiotherapists use too, if appropriate.
